The harried mind lay inert on the couch like a slathering dog. Like the flying maneuver of a bird (a slight pressure to his legs, and off he goes) the night was skyborne. A few feathers broke loose and swayed downwards, but these melted out in the sky with shimmering brilliance. The lake was placid. The wind played out a lilting soprano as it brushed the grass-blade keys. A seamless music filled the air as if a poultice throbbing with pain. The owls scratched their talons on the windowpanes. The mirror in the room cracked.
The mind filled with nameless dread and twinged with horrific doubting. Having forsaken the oceanic outer, the mind scraped the scar over the centered existence and let out hundreds of malicious daemons – baying and sniffing for blood. The unbearable stink made the wall crumble and it started laughing hysterically with a thousand faces!
A black feline being moved through the rug and brushed against the legs. Two thorny branches danced with doleful glee and created sparks of dazzling blue light against the dark. There was no sense of independent time for the mind was the time within which it perceived.
Late in the night, footsteps were heard. The hydra-headed night wearing a flowing black gown, walked in and lullabied the tired mind and held it close to heart.
